Hi Vicki,

VN> that something on the hill spooked a herd of cattle, once upon a tim
VN> that's how it was named. Didn't make the NAACP happy, though. It w
VN> than RIDICULOUS. And, yes, there is a movement here to get rid of e
VN> with SQUAW in its name...close to a hundred items, from Squaw Peak M
VN> Squaw Peak Expressway, etc. It will cost tens of thousand of dollar
VN> signs, maps, etc.

I think people put too much into race descrimination, Alot of people
grow up thinking badly, I'm not one of those people though, I have a
tendency to be pro-Native American(Indian) because I really think those
people were pushed out of their land, But then again I'm pro-Pacific
Islander and just about every race you can name so I agree it is
ridiculous-

VN> I am in Phoenix. I like the area around Camp Verde but there's
VN> in the way of a good job up there for me, compared to the job I have
VN> I fully intend to retire from as soon as I am eligible! (Won't be i
VN> decade, though!)

Phoenix is where my ex-husbands parents live last name is quite
distinctive so everyone practically by that name is part of his family
(Quaranta), But I have to tell you his mother was wonderful to me from
day one.

VN> MR> have to have a ranch close to the coast, either coast. But
VN> MR> I'm kind of interested in the east coast around the Florida
VN> MR> area due to the weather and great diving year round But I'm
VN> MR> sure I would miss my pinnipeds here.
VN>
VN> You don't have year 'round diving in California?

Yes, But the visability is really low here because of plankton and kelp
so visability in the fall is 20-30 feet and in the summer it could be 3
feet or less plus it is all cold water diving, In the Islands or the
gulf coast area the visability is 80-100 feet or more plus it's so warm
too. But I also had a bad experience with a diving instructor in
California so that might be my reasoning.

Tell me more about your animals? Is it hard to do the riding you've
been doing?
