| subject: | Compiler, linker, assembl |
-> The assembler is usually not called to handle inline code.
-> Compiler handling of inline assemble is generally a subset
-> of real assembler handling and will not accept the whole
-> range of assembly commands, especially labels in the case
-> of Borland. The ASM compiler is separate and used by those
-> for whom it is a viable alternative to using commercial
-> libraries to obtain low-level access to their machine.
If this is so, how do you use inline assembly??
asm {
MOV DX,'hello world.'
MOV AH,9
INT 21H
};
Is that how you would print the string "hello world" using
inline assembly?? If not can you give an example????
I always tried, but the compiler always sent me a response
saying TASM.EXE not present. Later
