-> That must of been alful!!! Putting a thin line of salt around the bed
-> makes it so when the slug go over it it will burn them (suck out all
-> mosture) and they wont do that.... I'm lucky where I prefer to live
-> are no slugs... to cold of a climent..... But you'll be amazed at wh
-> could do in a green house up there!
Where are you from? I have never had any problem with slugs in the
MANY, MANY years of gardening....this year I have and I THINK if might
be the new neighbors. they are doing in their yard I don't understand.
It hardly get watered and yet loads of TALL plants that are planted out
front and the little ones in the back. Cats in the neighborhood and she
put out a tub with goldfish and not protective screen or anything on it.
Then again hardly any watering. Anyway... I haven't seen any more slugs
out but then again they might be trying to avoid me - tee hee! We have
had one HOT of a summer. I have one of those hammock chairs hanging on
the covered patio opening, a bottle that looks like an IV bottle hanging
next to it (has soda pop in it) so when I need a refill I just run the
tube over to my container and refill it, with a kids (large wadding
pool) next to all of that to try and stay cool while watching t.v. All
this is outside. Then when I go to have a bbq - I bring out the grill
that looks like a choo choo train (cow catcher and all). I do love my
back yard as you can tell !!! So I don't need slugs eating up the very
fragrant and (some) exotic flowers that I have.
