I've just realised that our optical glass catalogue is available on line at:

http://www.pilkington.com/resources/optical+glass+catalogue.pdf

The introduction contains some information on chemical durability which is
relevant to the discussions on stripping coatings, etc. It's worth noting
that the highest defined grade of acid resistance refers to a timescale of
100 hours, whereas the equivalent for alkali is only 4 hours - silicate
glasses are *much* more vulnerable to alkali attack than acid.

There's also a list of spectral lines that someone was asking for.

The intro may be of more general interest, although it is more terse than
Schott's offering.

The .pdf is quite slow to load, as it's really just the proof of the
graphic-heavy printed version - it's not optimised for on-line use, yet.

I can't offer any of the usual disclaimers, because I work for the company!
(My office is in the bottom centre of the cover photo.)

Regards,

Andy
