Hi,

on Netlabs I found a Warpin package containing "Gimp with Everblue".  From
the description I understood that no separate XFree86 is required, though
there is no further description at all.   

It seemed to be a good starter to try the Gimp now.  So I downloaded the file
and started Warpin.   Warpin installed everything and there was only a tiny
message to check the readme.  Which did not give much information...

So now I have a command file which shall set some environment variables and
start gimp.  No explanation is given what these environment variables should
be.  For me it reads :

  REM set x11root=e:\XFree86
  set x11root=D:\OS2nix
  set home=F:\home
  cdd E:\xfree86\bin
  gimp %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8 %9
  REM gimp %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8 %9 > logfile1 2> logfile2
 
The REMmed lines are those I have tried to modify.  D:\OS2nix is where my
other unix-like tools are, but this is in the system partition and no place
to put applications in.  The application is installed in E:\XFree86.

When starting gimp it gives:

  [e:\xfree86\bin]gimp
  locale not supported by C library
  locale not supported by Xlib, locale set to C
  can not set locale modifiers

  ** ERROR **: sigsegv caught

Now, what shall this mean?

I searched Google but could not find any description on how to run gimp on
OS/2. Is there any place where I could find more (any!!) information?
