That happened with my son's name too.  When he was born 23 years ago
I had never met a "Joshua".  Within a year I had met three or four
others... one was a dog!... and within a few years it became obvious
that "Joshua" was suddenly one of the most popular names of the seventies,
as it continues to be, today.  Strange how that happens!
