Yeah, that's happening here too.  The bar I've been going to for about 20+
years (Studio Lounge) is now called "Scores" and was totally remodelled.  The
stage was one of the first casualties.  Now it's a DJ (playing the same old
tired DJ crap), and it's just not 'home' anymore.
I still go in there because some of my friends do (and the owner is an old
friend), but without the live bands (good or bad), it's not the same.  The
other rock bar still does bands, but it's all the "thrashy" crap I don't
care for.  :-(
