        Thanks for your advice re upgrading my Netcomm. I didn't know you
could get Austel approved modems so cheep. You are right Netcomm would
definately charge more than $300 for a new motherboard (assuming they would
be willing to sell me one). 
I am not aware of anyone in Perth selling a fast fax-modem for $300?? can
you tell me where are availabe please, or even what the brand name is?
