 Oh?  How so?  Since having worked in jails and prisons, when the
 prisoner was sentenced to life or time in prison, he was HANDED
 over to the prison officials or jail officials and the officials
 placed the prisoner into the HANDS of the guard...yours truly, so
 then the jail BIRD was considered to be in my HAND!
