The operative word here was misspelled. I think that it would
have made much better sense with the second P. Tapped. Right?

Perch is a generic name, I think. Bluegills are only one of the
species. There are generic names for a lot of them, such as
Sun Perch, Sheephead Perch, Goggle Eyes, and like that.
