 Well.. 
  V.34 Speedshifts to change speed, so you dont notice a pause when
the modems speedshift. This make it nice when you have line hits etc..
  V.fc and all other Protocols I know of (Maybe not HST?) have to Retrain,
and thats almost just like Reconnecting so you get a PAUSE in data flow :(..
  
 I take it the Diag's dont count Speedshifts as Retrains (as they are not the 
same thing).. Maybe a Speedshift's in the Diag screen would be nice?.. And A 
record of seconds after connect and speed changes...  Like..

00:00:00 19200/21600
00:01:00 21600/21600
00:01:02 21600/24000

 etc...
 would be nice so you can see if you got a line hit, speed dropped etc......
