Assuming MPLAYER in SUSE, did you also load the WIN32 CODECS?   If not, 
Google for 'w32codec-all'. 

Any idea what video file type you're dealing with?  That might help.  
Also, if I might ask, what Linux app are you going to use?  I could use 
a little Spanish myself.
