I donno... The fireworks are on the two character displays, so I can't help
you with the sonic .. Say, how good is the quality of the sound that the
sonic puts out? worth the price?

Hans,

Well, I bought the Sonic mainly as a data modem to compare with my
Courier V.E. I have not even taken the headset out of its envelope. As I
understand it all sound has to come through the headset as there is NO
speakerphone capacity. To get better sound the modem would have to be
able to couple to a sound card. I don't know if this can be done either.

The few message I have read from people who have tried the voice
capabilities have not been encouraging. One thing they complain about is
LACK of voice volume and no way to adjust it successfully.

RD> I've been following this thread for a while, and I can't help
RD> but wonder if there was a reason for these "easter eggs" or are
RD> they just cute things for us to play with in our "spare" time?
They are there because most programmers have a sense of humour, and want to
leave their own personal mark on whatever they are working on (and to see
what they can get past the management/testers). Easter eggs are quite
common, especially on the mac.. they usually involve certain dates and/or
combination
of keys.
