subject: Re: First Life at the Pol

New TH

If life began in a heat cycle with
a specific percentage sun vs night.
AND we know where on earth that percentage fit the environment when life began.
THEN we have a clue to the latitude where life began.

Comment?

<< IF the earth was cooling when life began,
and IF life is that which is selected in a
temperature range - a specific one that
drives the chemistry that leads to life,
(and life is that which best adapts to
this non random, sun/heat cycle)

THEN as one poster pointed out, the first
place on earth to cool to that range of
temperatures would be the poles.
Life may have had the first window of
opportunity at the poles.

IF that is true it suggests this.
The heat cycle at the poles would not be
even but would be slanted either to
1. almost all heat/day/, and little cool/night
or
2. almost all cool/night, and little heat/day.

That may be an important clue in recreating
first life conditions in a lab experiment.
