Yeah I know the feeling, I started as a Co-sysop on a telegard BBS, then when I
opened my own I used VBBS, then when dial-up died I changed to illusion cause
of it's telnet capabilities, discovered the same telnet server I used to run
illusion worked on telegard so I switched to telegard. Them my computer died.
After my wife died I decided to get back into it and found SBBS so I started
running SBBS until one day a friend told me found a cool "new" software, I
checked it out and behold VA was back, so I switched to VA and been using it
since.
