That's one annoying thing about the M34F - without actually doing what I
did (call as a bboard user, keep +++'ing and ATO'ing), you can't be sure if
the rate changes at all since the initial connection. :-(

Given that they can fit a V.34 modem into a lighter-than-M34F PCMCIA card,
I'm not surprised that the M34F is light. :-) (Certainly much lighter
than the tank the ol' M5 was.)
