From: "Gary Britt" > The US > presence in Iraq presumably would be a threatening presence and possibly curb > the two countries' support of Hezbollah and Hamas. Gee it has had that effect, and will have it even more so in the future. Also, can you say Lybia and no nukes. Can you say Lybia spilled the beans on the North Korea, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Libia nuclear weapons deals. Can you say all this happened because of the leadership of our President taking us into Iraq. President Bush is the new Teddy Roosevelt, protecting American interests wherever they might be. > >At that, he is busily engaged in a rapid > disengagement effort to lessen the political damage the war has caused him. Wrong. He's engaged in the same plan he's always had. Turn things over to the Iraqis. It was the DEMOCRAPS that desperately wanted a delay in the turnover. It was the democraps who kept talking about turning the Iraq government over to whom? Always implying with the questions, "who are we going to turn the government over to" that making the turnover woudl be bad. It was Bush who confidently knew that things would fall into place and insisted steadfastly we are going to make the turnover on time. He did, its working, and had we followed Kerry's plan we would still be trying to nuance an agreement on whom to turn over power to, and things in Iraq would be considerably worse. As it is now, we are WINNING, IRAQ is WINNING, things are getting better every single day. Get used to it. Bush was the best thinker and planner again.
