Thanks for your interesting report on EDTA. Here is my interpretation of your
experience, coloured by me and my closed mind!

1. EDTA will recover a badly sulphated battery, and if the battery is a young
one then it is well worth the effort. Homelighting and vehicle batteries, are
the most suited types.
2. EDTA can hardly be recommended for a sulphated battery if it is a tired 
ld
one.
3. EDTA might be damaging to auto batteries as these have thin plates.
4. If a battery is sick but NOT sulphated then EDTA won't really improve
matters.
5. A sulphated battery has conspicuous white colouring over the plates.
6. There are other ways to fix sulphated cells.
