Hi All, 
I'm just throwing this out for others to think about. 
I recently bought a used stereo "Real Tube Direct" box by Tube Works 
for my bass, since my bass is stereo too - a Rickenbacker 4001. Anyway, 
before I put it into my rack I started thinking how it might sound in 
my stereo system, since it seemed to have pretty good specs, and I was 
playing with the idea of making the CD less digital. I placed it in the 
tape loop for an evening, and I liked what I heard during that short 
time, but I also wished I had more time to experiment with that hookup, 
before making up my mind. Has anybody tried anything similar, or does 
anybody have a better idea? At around $500 retail, this is a costly 
experiment. :)
