I had already done that before posting, but the hits were pages where the
words "sandy berger" and "socks" were in unrelated
contexts. I went to foxnews and cnn and searched for it directly. These two
have conflicting statements.

On Fox, it says:

And then on CNN it says:

I would therefore take statements that he put documents in his socks with a
grain of salt. Without the socks thing, it seems entirely believable that
when he gathered up his belongings and personal papers, he also collected
the classified stuff by mistake.

What is suprising to me is that he was not required to sign in and out
individual documents for reading.
