What I *want* Andrew, was not the question. the question was, how 
to minimize the loss of innocent life. Nor do I make the case for 
justice in this; I find no punishment that I can think of, heard 
of, or seen proposed, that is adequate recompense to the families 
of the victims of murder. 
 
My opinion or prejudice is not the question.  Convicted murderers 
in prison are, *by definition* demonstrated as capable of killing 
people, and that fact is sufficient reason to raise the question 
of whether they might be likely to do so again, and if we can see 
with statistical analysis which convicted murderers are *likely* 
to do so again, and pose the greatest threat to guards and other 
non-violent prisoners, then it seems prudent to execute them to 
reduce the loss of innocent life.
