John,
I have both the Hayes K56Flex and the USR X2. One of my providers has
not finished installing the equipment for the K56Flex yet, so that one
is untested at this time. The USR Sportster gets anywhere from let's
4400 to 5300 per session. And it can go as low as 1.0 or below if there
is a lot of traffic. Personally I have ISDN in the back of my mind
which has to be far better than 56k anything. Sure it's expensive but,
I am thinking because I am glued to at least one provider on a more or
less 20 hour day, I might just give it a go.
