Maybe..Maybe not. Some players don't get involved until their agent actually 
brings them something. As I had said to Terry, there was a first round NFL 
player that fired his agent because he had told him that there was no way 
that he was going to get a signing bonus and he negotiated a deal that didn't 
include the bonus even though it was something that his client had stressed 
that he wanted.

Or his agent has a moron for a client. Let's not forget that agents get sued 
all the time. Some agents hate the fact that players' associations have 
gotten their members to accept certification of their agents and the agents 
have had to accept lower percentages than they used to charge in order to be 
certified. The PA's have had to step in to try to keep their members from 
being taken for too much of a ride but that doesn't mean that it still 
doesn't happen.
