subject: Multiple Tables/One form

Hello to all Paradox gurus. Got ta question. In Paradox 4.5 (DOS version),
I've created 4 tables (.db files). They are called userinfo.db, compinfo.db,
compsoft.db and compnts.db. I have also created forms using the Forms|Design
feature in Paradox. I would like to merge all the forms into one master
orm.
I have created a common link throughout all the tables called Login Name.
In entering the structure for the table, I used the A8* to signify it as a
key field (as well as for all the other tables). In the Form|Design, I
attempted to create a multi-tabled form but I'm not sure what to do from
there. I read the docs but they didn't seem to help. I would like the top
form to be the master form (userinfo.db) and the rest would be slave forms
(for lack of a better term). One more thing, although I used the Login Name
to link the tables, it shouldn't be necessary to use it in the forms, should
it? Thanx in advance,
	Troy Davis...

Troy, first you have to create the tables form with the table in question.
Assuming userinfo.db is your main table, create the form after you have
created all other forms on there tables. While creating the main form
decide where the other forms will reside on the main form. Select menu
choice Multi | Tables | Place | Linked. Hope this helps!

Yes. Export the table in ascii delimited format from 4.5, then import it as
same in 3.x. Note: memo fields will be trimmed drasticly if they translate
at all. There is a solution for that though if you need it.
