>Quite the testimony on your new magic plug in to your audio system.
Care to give us more information on what it is, what it claims to do, if
they have a website, etc?? I gotta here more about this thing!<
The Steradian Environmental Processor was evidently built with
the Legacy Focus and Whisper loudspeakers in mind. Both have a relatively
generous compliment of 12 inch or 15 inch woofers at three per channel.
One of these faces the rear, but can be switched off with toggle switch
on the rear panel.
I have one channel where the speaker must sit within 12 to 16 inches
from the side wall and an equal distance to the rear wall behind the speaker.
The other channel has no side wall at all and is an equal distance to the
rear wall as the other channel. This is a perfect formula for "Room Boom" on
some types of music.
Nothing helped. Foam insulating pads, Room Tune baffles, redirecting
the bass energy, notta. Somehow the Steradian not only helped, but made it
disappear, while not sacrificing bass response to do so.
I cannot say how it would work with other loudspeakers or even
ow/why
it works with the Legacy Focus. Sensible Sound "mini reviewed" it with the
Focus loudspeakers. I reread that, read everything on the WEB Site and talked
with Bill Duddleston himself on the telephone, and I still cannot say for
sure how this crazy thingy works. Suffice it to say: must be alien
technology. Perhaps you will have better luck:
Legacy Audio WEB Site Address: www.legacy-audio.com
I wouldn't be without it now!
