Is the CD drive supported by W4? Remember Warp 4 GA had lot's of issues
with all kinds of hardware.
I once had a W3 stalling at disk stage because Warp couldn't cope with
the onboard video. So there are a mass of reasons why the install could
crash.
And in general the message "can't operate etc..." refers to *dmd files.
Do the alt+F!-->F1 trick and try to figure out if os2dasd.dmd comes up.
If not, it is a hard disk problem.

A PII with a 160 GB Hard disk?
Anyway, Warp's 4 FDISK can't handle disks with that size, so I wonder
how you got OS2 onto it al all. IIRC W4 must be at least at level
fixpack 13.
BTW: what the use of installing W4 GA onto a partition Warp still is
present?
