Are talking about Americans you know, or just generalizing? Cuz ( yeah we 
sometimes say cuz instead of Because.  ) Though undoubtedly the items 
above are pronounced both ways. Usually it's the way you claim only the 
Canadians pronounce it, here in Western NY. But then again, watch sports! 
It's Hockey "nationally" What other kind of Hockey is there? Oh
Field hockey 
which doesn't rate very high here. Tuna may be half and half. Rye? Thats Bread 
 Actually here, although My preference is Your Canadian Whiskey's,
Bourbon is probably more popular here and most of the time that is called 
Whiskey, or Bourbon. I don't here many order or go in and buy Bourbon 
whiskey. Yet that is the correct term..

I dunno George, I feel kind of funny today and your post struck me as odd, I 
had to comment. I guess I could use some of that "Rye Whiskey" heheheh
