My first thought when I first setup binkd and saw it in action was something
like "you must be kidding!". That must have been more than 10 years ago.  I was
used to FD / BinkleyTerm and Portal of Power back then. Now I run it as a
daemon and just look at the logs to see what is happening and that works for
me. A gui would be nice I suppose but at this point even if there was one I
don't think I'd use it. I suppose a GUI could be made easy enough without
messing at all with binkd, just need a graphical display of what is happening.
MBSE has such a thing in mbmon. It's similar to what FD used to display but not
the same. It displays a single line for BBS users and mailer sessions currently
running.

Mystic's internet servers do to if you want it, it more or less just shows you
what is happening at moment wrt binkp/smtp/pop3/ftp/nntp/telnet. I just
daimonise those to and look at the logs if I need to.
