*I* also had that problem for awhile, but then ran across a tip in one
of the many Windows magazines that suggested adding a line in the
Autoexec.bat file that would delete the .tmp files on the HD each time
you turned on the computer. Unfortunately, I don't remember the exact
format for the command at the moment, and no longer use it with Win95.
