One of the papers yesterday called Mayor Daley "X-Man">
I'd be happy to call him X-Mayor some day. He takes way too much time to over-react.
Heard on the radio on the way home.
He said we'd all "appreciate his decision" (because that's his
job, to make these kinds of decisions), in light of the increased security
it would provide the city.
Later...
Daley, sticking his intellect further into the nether regions, admitted
today that closing Meigs will not stop anybody who wants to use a small
plane as a weapon against the city.
Chiming in, Illinois Governor Can'tspellhisnamesoIwon'teventry, thinks it's
a good time to '..take a look at all Illinois airports where small planes
fly in and out of'.
When our leaders knee-jerk, it hurts.
