Yes, but when you are a compassionate person like President Reagan who many
times personally received the family members of the hostages and felt their
pain, he was desperate to do something.  His choices were to ignore them
and the hostages, try something short of invasion, or send in a 100,000
marines. Judging by your snide remarks, I'm sure you would have been able
to do a much better job in making these choices.
