DS> Just finished Death In Little Tokyo by Dale Furutani. It was quite
DS> good..his first novel. The hero is an unemployed computer person who
DS> gets caught up in a real murder while being mistaken for a real PI. It
DS> has a lot of humor, lots of clues and a great sense of place for the
DS> Japanese community in Los Angeles. It also tells about the relocation
DS> camps during WW2 for the Japanese-Americans...quite an eye opener. I
DS> finished it in two sittings.
Another book that I loved, and thank God for DorothyL or I would never
have heard of it! If you haven't read it, pick up "The Persian Pickle
Club" by Sandra Dallas. Excellent read involving life in small-town
Kansas during the depression and the relationship of a group of women.
When the body of one of the women's husband is found buried in a field,
one of the members of the club starts investigating.
... I'm not a complete idiot - several pieces are missing.
