In this case there were no other ill effects.  Lucky me.  The edits went
smoothly and the 1.45 .Exe was discarded immediately afterwards.

(Of course, I did take the precaution of having several copies of the
previous FastEcho.Cfg available, if the whole exercise went 'belly up'.
