As readers of the hardware group know I had a disk crash and was unable
to boot my ecs machine for awhile. I am writing this because it may be
of help to other users of Backagain/2 Workstation edition version 4.10.

The first problem was the BA/2 utility disks would not work, so I
installed a copy of ecs on what is now my maint partition and then
installed BA/2. Then when I tried to restore ecs to C: I got a error
msg saying there was an unexpected user agent error and to contact CDS.I
discovered that the error only occured when trying to restore individual
files from the root of a partition. I was able to restore all the
directories and their contents just fine. Further trial and error showed
that if I used the opition to restore to a specified location I could
restore the files in the roots of the partitions. Then of course just
copy them to the proper location.

I hope this helps someone else in a similar situation.

Regards, Jim
