Smokey now has shoes and is sound again.  We are reintroducing him to
work slowly so as to not stress his shoulder.  I did catch him, though,
down on his shoulder trying to get to get grass under the fence. I'm
sure that this wasn't doing him any good.

Tuesday it was 112 with 78% humidity.  98 feels nice and cool.  Today it
was in the low ninties with low humidity and the wind was from the west
so it felt great and the smoke cleared from the valley.

The other horse had strangles for sure.  He was cultured, ran a fever,
etc.
