When I want to edit a bunch of files, I, for example:
C:\WORK\>e -a *.*
and proceed to work on them in order, using Alt-N to proceed to
the next file in the ring.
Are there switches/options that will do the following:
1. Load the files in alphabetical order. They currently seem to
load in un-sorted directory order.
2. Not load any .BAK files that are in the directory. ???
In more detail, the problem is as follows. I sort all files in a
subdirectory using Norton's DS.EXE. I load all files in the
subdirectory and start working on them. I get interrupted and
have to do something else, so I save all and exit, with .BAK
turned on. The files are no longer in their original order
(since the .BAK file takes the place, unsorted, of the original),
so when I go back to this task, they load in a different order
and the .BAK files are in the ring which I don't want. If what I
am doing uses another application, I guess I could just save
state on exit (I haven't tried that feature), but if what I do
after exiting uses TSE (loads other files), I'm not sure how to
handle it (load more files without destroying the saved state;
save multiple states???). I don't see this discussed in any
"finished" way in the help or manual.
Thanks for your help.
