Re: British Columbia, Adoption Act Information Line
The AACC has received a letter with the following information about the 
Ministry of Social Services toll-free line for the new Adoption Act 
quiries.
      "We are pleased to advise you that the Adoption Act Information Line 
        is now in place. The toll free line may be accessed from 8:00 a.m.
        to 4:30 p.m. (PDT) weekdays.
        The number is 1-888-236-7888.
        I would appreciate if you would pass this information on to your
        contacts. I have advised our staff in the Ministry and the 
nformation
        will be widely distributed in our future communications initiative."
This toll free number is supposed to work across Canada and possibly the 
States. If you have trouble accessing the number please let me know and I 
will inform the Ministry about the areas where this number is not working 
properly.
