A little off topic, but I am looking for information. I had a minor
disaster at Table Mountain when my RA drive died the first night there. So
no images all weekend. The good news was that the visual observing was
really nice. But I digress.=20

As I price replacement drive controllers/motors for my old Takahashi JP
mount, I am looking for feedback from people who have used Mel's goto
system (Mel, you can chime in too, if you want!). So far, it appears to be
the most cost effective solution. I am looking for very accurate tracking
with goto capability and support for an autoguider for long exposure CCD
imaging. I have heard good things about the system, but would love to get
feedback from folks who have actually used it. You can email me directly at
