I sent a message about this to some one a couple of weeks ago..maybe you- but we had some problems here and it got lost. I was using the fax-modem, but should translat to the Supersonic. I had the same thing: When in my regular terminal program, display was what I wanted, but in PPP it only showed RX speed. The reason is I set up with &F2 plus some things, in terminal; but the internet connection by default as setting the modem up using &F plus some things..thus the difference. What I am saying is that the default of the S194 register is different in the two cases. I forget the exact S194 setting that you want and what I used--lost my 33k to ligntning- so can't look. There is a file (at336cmd.txt) ??? that gives all of the commands that exist..about 10 pages of them. There are more that they add every week, Watch this echo for things like a star-burst-screen saver setting. Hope this helps. KP> Kenny P KP>--- TriToss (tm) Professional 10.0 - #110 Yes I have been using (at336cmd.txt) for some time. It is getting out of date as it was for the -12 firmware and we all know that many nice things have been added since then that are only documented in each upgrade readme file. Thanks for the tip on how to get my SupraSonic display to work correctly with my Internet PPP account. I used the Netscape Modem Wizard to setup the modem. The interface was so slick that I never thought that it might not be using the correct init codes. Upon checking what it had setup I found it used &F instead of &F2 in the init string. Changing it to &F2 fixed the display. I decided to check the S regs and see why it did not work before. S210.3 sets how the display looks. &F sets S210.3=0 which uses the same speed for TX and RX. &F2 allows different TX and RX speeds in the display. --------------- >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LAST Message In Thread <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 267 SUPRA MODEMS Ref: DEE00010 Date: 10/09/96 From: HANS JOHNSON Time: 09:16pm \/To: JOHN MEDLAND (Read 4 times) Subj: New Supra Files JM> Is my modem flashable? To upgrade the firm ware in the Express, you need to replace the rom chim (in much the same was as a USR sportster). For obvious reasons Supra will only release new chips for verry major upgrades (ex: the 28.8-33.6 speed boost).
