NH> Rexx. AR> Heard of it. Don't have it. Win9?/DOS version available anywhere? I really don't have a clue and it's been at least 3 years since I did anything in it. At that time I was working on a system written in Rexx for OS/2. IIRC, if the first two lines look like C-style comments (empty or not): /* */ /* */ the program gets tokenized (compiled but not linked) and the tokenized module appears in a DIR listing as just another column on the source code line (I forgot what that column was called - leave it to IBM to come up with something unusual and proprietary). In a Rexx program one could have most of what makes up a regular language: looping, decision making, user input, scoping, etc. I've seen (about 3 or 4 years ago) something called personal Rexx. I believe it was for DOS platforms. Otherwise, you may have to pick up a copy of OS/2 - Rexx is included with a lot of soft copy documentation. * KWQ/2 1.2i * --- FLAME v1.1* Origin: Port Chicago's Loading Dock - 510-676-5359 (1:161/204) SEEN-BY: 396/1 622/419 632/371 633/260 267 270 371 634/397 635/506 728 SEEN-BY: 639/252 670/213 218 @PATH: 161/204 42 215/34 270/101 396/1 633/260 635/506 728 633/267 |
