From: "Bob May" To: "atmlist" Reply-To: "Bob May" You can put the mirror on the other side of the KE and bend the light path that way. The mirror does not want to move with the stage so you are going to need a seperate support for it that doesn't move. Basically, the light path is: light source > bending mirror > mirror under test > bending mirror > knife edge > your eyeball or camera. With a small diagonal mirror close to the KE, the effects of any surface irregularity will be minimized as the actual amount of the mirror that is used will be minimal. The further you put the diagonal mirror from the KE, the larger the area of the reflection and thus, the better quality mirror that you will need. Using the secondary for the scope will do very nicely and that mirror will be an excellent mirror to use.
