Bob Juge, one of the long time OS/2 BBS stalwarts was doing just that and
his virtual PC blew up, taking the entire system with it.  Unfortunately,
he lost everything.

I've got about 10 free boxes here that will run a BBS just fine. :P  The
Dell I have now is dying, so I'm getting another smaller Dell (933mhz/P3)
to replace it.  For free. :)
