Hi, now that spring is here, I can ralate a success story of using
EDTA, one that since most of us are still tied to the IC
vehicle, may save both $$$$ and the enviroment. Last fall I had
a 36 month battery in our volvo, that was 35 months old. The
first cold day it just grrrrr... 'ed, starded with a few
minutes on the charger. A week later, the next cold day, same
thing. I then added 1 oz of a solution as concentrated as I
could make it of EDTA in distilled water to each cell, and
trickle charged overnight. We have used this car all winter
long, even left the lights on overnight once, and the battery
is still going strong. With warm weather here, I would assume
it would last until this fall, or 47 months on a 36 month
battery !!!! At about $1.25 worth of EDTA, it sure worked .
