Wanna bet ?  I've polled you 4 times now since you installed the M34F, and
the results were considerably less than encouraging.  The first call
indicated CONNECT 26400 here, then immediately dropped carrier, the second
worked OK, the third failed to negotiate at all, and the fourth showed a
CONNECT 26400, then sent my mail at an average rate of less than 400cps
(then wouldn't hang up, forcing me to reset my modem).

Another shitty modem, or operator error - which one is it Paul ?
