G'day Marty! -=> In a message on 04 Feb 96 <=- -=> Marty Davey said this to All <=- MD> If anyone can help with this I'd be grateful. On 9 Jan 96 Stephen Lennie sent MD> Tony Lundberg a message with an impressive looking init string. I tried breaking the MD> string in two and saving each part, but that didn't work either. I MD> could get around it by adding these commands to my init string after MD> the atz1, but I want to get to the bottom of it. Thinking it might be MD> a problem with the modem, I did a swap with a colleague who has an MD> identical modem, purchased at the same time as mine. Guess what - MD> same problem. MD> Any ideas??? It's not really a problem. Some commands, including the few you mentioned above, are saved to the first Stored Profile (0) then used for the rest of the rest of the Stored Profiles (1-3). This is the same for the %R, %S, %T and %U switches as well as a few other commands.
