  I used to live on Bayview Avenue in Toronto...beside Sunnybrooke 
Hospital.  They once tried to cut out a benefit to the war vets in
there, and if the neighbourhood hadn't turned out to support our vets
our Government would have taken a benefit away.  It was a sick thing
they tried, considering these vets were bed ridden.

And again I agree they all should be attending all these ceremonys.
I also would like to see even civilian vets serving in the merchant
marine given their dues too!

 James...If I had the answer to that I would be most satisfied.  My father
is a true-blue Tory...no matter what he'd vote Tory...here or back in the
UK where he did vote for Churchill.  And my dad and I argued over politics
many a time...as to who I was going to vote for.   I even admit when I
was younger...my dad influenced me a lot to support even in public school
the Torys under Dief the Chief....even to the bitter end.  Oh geez James
where do I start in this mess?
 
You have the Bloc only representing Quebec, and only with one aim to
take Quebec out of Confederation .... Then there was the Reform party
 seemingly centered out west...and it did seem they
were only representing the western interests...And they are right to
do this...as only to Ontario does Ottawa's parliament seem to care.
Now Reform and the Torys have merged to form whatever Conservatives
and perhaps bring the western interests back in...As for the Liberals
well they are mired in Sponsorgate...so I think the Boys on Bay Street
since they bankroll the Torys or Liberal to carry out their agenda
will go this time for the Torys and Stephen Harper to govern.
As for the NDP...well from what I see...and after a Tory or Liberal
association meeting..it seems those still wanting to be in parliament
will approach the NDP to support them in the campaign.   All the
other partys below this really are not national in scope nor a part
of the scene so they don't count.   The Bloc...well since they are
only in Quebec...I can not see why everyone is so scared of them?
To get this blackmail every 5 years is a annoying PIA.!!

No James...I have no solutions...Only complaints.  Any further passed
this point, and the basketweaver laws would be on me for picking
on the distinct society.   Thank goodness Eliass Harper a First Nations
MPP when he went in the Manitoba house carried a feather with him
indicating he was in for a struggle....and in his victory...they
blamed the Newfie...cause its okay to blame a WASP.

The more we get close to seeing Martin's government fall the more
I am not interested and just abstaining from voting for anyone.
Oh well....hope you can find what you want and they fill your needs
