I agree.  I read C for Dummies and really didn't get much out of it.  Alot
was 'filler'.  I soon moved to C++ for Dummies.  Then came C++ books by the
dozen, literally...C++ a Complete Reference, Beginning Visual C++ 5, etc.
I joined a book club in the states and am trying to cram all this information
in.  I have been doing pretty well so far but I think I will have to take
a course soon.
