I'm starting early. We almost always have Charlotte with us when we grocery
shop, be it in the Tonoo Market street (open air Japanese food market, 50 or so
small vendors along about 1/2 mile of streets) or the commisary.
I just got back from the commisary and Charlotte was 'helping Mommie
Priceshop'. She understands that sometimes you get the more expensive one if
it's better or lasts longer, but normally you check around.
The money she finds 'saved' she gets to spend on a treat. This time, she
'found' almost 2$ which 'paid for' her popsicle treat. (75cents of that was
just from getting a differnt brand of milk. Normally the same price but this
time one is closer to expiration but far enough off it will be long gone before
it hits that).
She's now finagiling that when she finds a cheaper one, even if I get the more
expensive one, she should be able to count that. Hummm.... I know what's in
her mind. The 4.35$ 'Ice Cream Treat' box! ;-)
Wanna bet when I go back to sea next, Don gets a few lessons too from
Charlotte? hehehehe
xxcarol
