Not that I'm aware of, but I can't remember the timing. Anyway,
Trev Roydhouse recommended it for the Spirit in his TR authorized
settings, so I'll let someone else defend the need for BBS
operators to disable +++.

I can't imagine the case costing a lot of money whichever way
they design it, so they may as well make it look smart. My
Spirit looked smart too. Not as smart as the M34F though.
And the Maestro ZXR 2400 is an example of not-smart. My
Bit Blitzer was pretty smart too. Rectangular LEDs look smarter
than round ones. Curved surfaces on the edge look smarter.
All shortwave radios should look like the army uses them. Etc.
I doubt the plastic moulding costs would change just because
you make it look smart. BFN. Paul.
