Patronising ? Nah. Patronising is writing 4K of reply
telling them why getch() or ioctl() is not ANSI C and 
shouldn't be discussed followed by another 4K of suggestions 
on where to go to find out about it.

I wasn't even close. By if you really feel that I was heading in
that direction please feel free to take it to fido netmail or Internet 
email. I do not see how I was being patronising and would like to know
